Position Associate
Education Undergraduate degree required
Experience 2–4 years in investment banking, private equity, mezzanine debt, consulting, commercial banking, accounting, or related finance roles
Reports To Vice President
Compensation Base salary plus annual bonus

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deal Origination — Work with senior team members to develop key deal origination relationships, respond to new deal opportunities, and represent the firm externally.
- Investment Evaluation — Identify, screen, and evaluate new investment opportunities by reviewing Confidential Information Memoranda, drafting initial due diligence questions, and compiling initial screening memos.
- Transaction Structuring — Build complex models in Excel to evaluate financial scenarios and analyze financial statements to determine creditworthiness and return profile.
- Investment Analysis — Conduct business due diligence, synthesize data sets, evaluate KPIs, and prepare credit memoranda communicating key thesis and risks/mitigants to the investment committee.
- Industry and Market Research — Conduct industry research, market analysis, and expert calls to evaluate growth prospects and competitive dynamics.
- Portfolio Company Initiatives — Track portfolio performance and reporting and support portfolio companies on strategic and financial value-creation initiatives, including add-on acquisitions and KPI management.
- Key Participant — Participate in meetings with alongside management team members.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Analytical — Strong grounding in accounting, financial statements, and quantitative techniques.
- Business Intuition & Critical Thinking — Sound business judgment and ability to identify key decision factors.
- Time Management — Able to manage multiple workstreams concurrently and prioritize effectively.
- Work Ethic — Self-starter who works independently on small, dedicated teams with limited guidance.
- Communication — Articulate, concise communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Intellectual Curiosity — Genuine interest in investing and business strategy.
- Professionalism — Represents the Fund confidently and professionally.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2–4 years of work experience in a related financial sector.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- The Fund is managed by a registered investment advisor; the Associate will be required to adhere to certain SEC reporting and compliance requirements.
- This role requires the employee to work from our office in Atlanta, GA on a full-time basis and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work status.
