Position: Analyst 

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana 

Job Description: Centerfield Capital Partners is seeking an investment professional to play a role in sourcing and executing investments and managing Centerfield’s portfolio. Primary responsibilities of the role include evaluating new investment opportunities, managing the investment due diligence process, assisting in negotiating investment terms, and monitoring existing portfolio investments. The position is an excellent opportunity for an accounting and finance professional with strong analytical and communication skills interested in a career in the private equity industry. Centerfield is Indiana’s largest private equity firm. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Represent the Centerfield brand externally and clearly communicate our strategy, investment interests, and approach to value-creation via phone calls, in-person meetings, and conference interactions
  
  
• Assist with efforts around deal sourcing, including building and managing relationships with Centerfield’s network of deal referral sources, including other private credit and equity funds, investment banks, and other advisory firms
  
  
• Lead Centerfield’s investment evaluation process, including financial modeling and analysis, drafting investment memos, and coordinating the firm’s internal and external due diligence process
  
  
• Assist in negotiating key investment terms
  
  
• Manage investments post-closing, including supporting the senior investment team’s participation as a member or observer to portfolio company boards of directors
  
  
• Establish and cultivate relationships with Centerfield’s key constituents, including investors, co investors, advisory firms, and portfolio company management team
  
  
• Support the preparation and presentation of various internal and external reporting requirements for Centerfield’s investors

Key Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in private equity, corporate finance/development, commercial or investment banking, accounting or a related field
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Poised and articulate with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Motivated self-starter who can collaborate effectively in a small team environment
• Organized and attentive to details with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
